Fitzgerald plans Dublin hotel chain

OWNER of landmark Dublin pubs Kehoes and the Stag’s Head Louis Fitzgerald, is planning to build a chain of hotels under his own name in the Dublin region.

Up to €50m has already been invested by Mr Fitzgerald in building a 190 -bedroom hotel near his Joel’s restaurant on the Naas Road, while he bought the Arlington Hotel on Bachelor’s Walk for around €30m two years ago.Under the plan the publican, who owns more than 20 pubs in all, plans up to five extra hotels in the Dublin area.
