Entrepreneurs are needed in the West

AN expo aimed at attracting people and businesses to the Western region has been launched by Gillian Buckley, chief executive of the Western Development Commission.

Entrepreneurs are needed in the West

Speaking at the announcement of the LookWest Jobs and Enterprise Expo that will be held by the commission in the Davenport Hotel, Dublin on September 20, Ms Buckley said: “The West is getting younger. This is key to the region’s future as research shows that this age group is most likely to become early stage entrepreneurs. Indeed, half of all new start-ups are established by those aged 25-44,” she said.

Sixteen companies and six recruitment agencies, with hundreds of vacancies will be there, as well as development agencies and county enterprise boards.
