Additional five cent price increase

THE Board of Glanbia plc has announced an additional five cent a gallon price increase for August manufacturing milk.

It brings the total August increase to 12 cent a gallon (cpl) and the group’s milk price for the same month to 167.27 cpg (VAT inclusive) or 36.79 cpl (VAT inclusive).

The group said suppliers would receive this latest increase in their August milk cheque along with the 2006 KPMG top up, equivalent to 1.30 cpg.
