Whiskey and vodka sales help Campari

DAVIDE CAMPARI-MILANO, the Italian beverage maker known for its bittersweet red aperitif, said first-half profit rose 2.5% after drinkers bought more Glen Grant whiskey and Skyy vodka.

Net income climbed to €56.9 million from €55.5m a year earlier, the Milan-based company said. Sales gained 5.5% to €440.6m and increased 7.8% excluding currency movements.
