Government mulls Ardmore move

ACCORDING to weekend reports, the Government is considering buying the Co Wicklow-based Ardmore Film Studios, which is partly owned by U2 manager Paul McGuinness and accountant Ossie Kilkenny.

The site, which covers 20 acres, has an estimated value of €40 million.

The State — via Enterprise Ireland — already owns a 32% stake in Ardmore Studios with Mr McGuinness and Mr Kilkenny owning the rest.
