IRELAND has lost its top 10 spot in a global survey on the attractiveness of the business environment in over 80 countries worldwide.

Ireland’s business ranking falls

The latest report from the London-based Economist Intelligence Unit looks at the obstacles and opportunities for business in countries around the world until 2011.

It found that despite falling from 10th place in the 2002-2006 rankings to 12th place in 2007-2011, Ireland increased its score to 8.57 in the business environment survey, compared with a total score of 8.49 in the last survey.
