Ploughmen on track for Lithuania

PLOUGHMEN from Carlow and Wexford will represent the Republic at the world ploughing championships in Kaunas, Lithuania (September 14-15).

They are Eamonn Tracey, Garryhill, Carlow, who was third overall in last year’s world finals and reversible ploughman John Whelan, New Ross, who took eighth place two years ago.

Team manager is Liam O’Driscoll, Bandon, and the Irish judge is John Tracey, Carlow.
