BT workers to stage protest

UP to 50 BT Ireland staff will stagea public protest outsidethe corporate headquarters of BT Ireland in Upper Grand Canal Street today.

The protest is being organised by staff in response to what they say is the company’s refusal to recognise the staff’s trade union, the Communications Workers’ Union.

They said this is despite that fact that BT staff in the North are already represented by the union.
