River launches Cavan newspaper

THE River Media newspaper group is set to challenge the dominance of the Anglo Celt newspaper in the northeast of the country through the launch of its 10th title, the Cavan Post — the first edition of which went on sale yesterday.

The launch of the paper consolidates River Media’s position as the fifth-largest newspaper group in the country, with a circulation in excess of 120,000 newspapers a week. The new title will cost €1.75.
