Adviser backs Teagasc for research

THE chief scientific adviser to the Government, Professor Patrick Cunningham, has backed Teagasc to lead research in the agriculture and food sectors.

Interviewed by Catriona Boyle, editor of the group’s scientific research magazine TResearch, he said the knowledge economy applies in agriculture as it does in everything else.

“It is an increasingly sophisticated and competitive market for the products of agriculture,” he said.
