EMPLOYEES at the Irish divisions of Royal & Sun Alliance will not be affected by proposed job cuts at the company as its Irish division delivers a strong solid performance in the first half of the year.

The group posted first-half profits yesterday that were above market expectations and said its cost-cutting programme was ahead of schedule.

It could not give exact figures for its Irish operations but said the performance was strong.
