Quality focus for sport horse sector

THE sport horse industry, worth at least €400 million a year to the national economy, will have a shop window display at this week’s Fáilte Ireland Dublin Horse Show.

The show begins at the 42-acre Royal Dublin Society complex in Ballsbridge on Wednesday.

More than 1,000 horses and ponies will compete at the event, which will cost €3.3m to stage, with €750,000 prize money.
