Citigroup expands Irish operations

US financial giant, Citigroup has become the largest foreign wholesale bank in Ireland by employee numbers following the completion of the acquisition of financial services group BISYS for $1.44 billion (€1.05bn).

BISYS employs nearly 600 people in Ireland and have offices in Ballsbridge, George’s Quay and Waterford.
