THE battle for control of Irish Continental Group looks set to sail on for a bit longer.

Battle for control of ICG continues

The independent directors of the ferry operator had given the two camps — one led by chief executive Eamon Rothwell and the other by One51 and the Cork-based Doyle shipping company — until midday yesterday to come up with revised bids.

As of yesterday evening neither side was prepared to say if they have upped their offer to gain control of the company.
