ICAI welcomes McCreevy proposal

The Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland has welcomed the publication by Internal Market Commissioner Charlie McCreevy of proposals to simplify accounting, auditing and corporate governance rules for smaller companies.

The commission is seeking views on the proposals they published yesterday by mid-October. The institution will respond formally at that stage.
