SFI director honoured by award

Professor Frank Gannon, director general of Science Foundation Ireland, has been honoured by one of Europe’s most prestigious science bodies — the Federation of European Biochemical Societies (FEBS).

The federation awarded Professor Gannon the Diplôme d’Honneur in honour of his “exceptional contribution” to European Science and to FEBS activities at the annual FEBS conference in Vienna.

FEBS is one of the largest European life sciences organisations, with nearly 40,000 members in 43 countries.
