HOME appliance firm Glen Dimplex is investing €2.5 million in the development of a global energy centre in Louth.

The research and development centre in Dunleer will create 20 jobs. Its work will include the development of energy efficient products for the company’s Irish and global markets.

Glen Dimplex Group chief executive Sean O’Driscoll said: “The development of the energy centre will ensure that we keep energy efficiency at the very core of our business, while maintaining our commitment to product innovation as a central principle in the continued growth of Glen Dimplex.”
