AIB pension fund ‘best performing’

THE fund unit of AIB had the best performing Irish pension fund in the first half of the year, a survey by Mercer Investment Consulting has shown.

The survey of 18 managed pension funds showed that the one run by Allied Irish Banks Investment Managers returned 6.1% in the period, compared with an average increase of 4.6%.

The Irish Life fund was the second-best performer, at 5.9%, while Bank of Ireland came last with a return of 3%.
