Alstrom wins €275m ESB deal

ALSTOM, the world’s third-biggest maker of power plants, has won a €275m order to build a generation facility for the ESB.

Alstom will provide all engineering, procurement and construction services to the ESB for the 430MW combined-cycle power plant.

Combined cycle plants use excess heat from a power-generating turbine to create steam that in turn produces additional power.
