Market loses early gains

THE Dublin Exchange was 45 points stronger yesterday morning but finished more or less unchanged by the closing bell. The ISEQ Index gained 1.5 to 9,306.

The financials were 11 points ahead despite AIB falling 29c to €20.21. Bank of Ireland regained 16c finishing the day at €14.94. Irish Life and Permanent and Anglo increased 30c and 8c to €18.69 and €15.20.
