Cantor buys one million ICG shares

Fresh intrigue was added to the takeover duel for ICG yesterday when international stockbroker Cantor Fitzgerald bought over one million shares in the group yesterday.

Cantor buys one million ICG shares

The group holds over 20% of ICG’s stock on behalf of Moonduster, one of the groups bidding for ICG.

The shares were bought at €22, €22.50 and €23 a share in early trading.

Last night the two takeover antagonists involving the MBO team of Aella and Moonduster, representing One51 Capital and Doyle Group, both denied any involvement in the share purchases.

Cantor holds over 6.28m shares in ICG, amounting to 26.59% of the share capital.

However, just over 20% of its stake holding it held on behalf of One51 and the Doyle Group.

Who owns the rest had both sides baffled last night and it raises more questions than anyone close to the bid was able to answer last night.
