THE ISEQ Index closed in negative territory.

Market closes down slightly

The Dublin Exchange was 51 points lower at 9,357 at the closing bell.

Market heavyweight AIB dropped 50c to €20.70. Rival Bank of Ireland added 15c to €15.59. Anglo Irish weakened 20c to €15.80 and IL&P was unchanged at €18.80.

Construction giant CRH was 25c better off at €35.62. Kingspan gained 1.5c to €20.15.

Other notable movers included Independent News and Media dipping 7c to €3.59 following the company’s AGM yesterday and resolution approval to give more power to monitor shareholders increasing their stake in the firm.
