Property management complaints to rise

THE Office of the Director of Corporate Enforcement (ODCE) is expecting a surge in the number of complaints about apartment management companies.

Property management complaints to rise

The number of complaints made about these firms was up by a third last year and the head of the ODCE said the figure would probably treble in 2007.

Paul Appleby, head of the ODCE, said he had dealt with hundreds of inquiries in 2006 and, in response, his office was drawing up guidelines for apartment owners and directors of management companies.
