ISEQ closes slightly higher

THE Dublin Exchange closed slightly better on the day as the financials ended in the red while the construction sector ended in positive.

The index gained 6.81 points overall to 9,854.

AIB was 8c lower at €22.42. Rival Bank of Ireland fell 51c to €16.01 following FY07 results. IL&P was 22c weaker at €20.52 while Anglo was unchanged at €17.45

Construction giant CRH performed well jumping 79c to €36.10. Kingspan was 14c better off at €22.10, while McInerney climbed 2c ahead to €2.67.
