Burberry profits hit a cool €163m

A STRONG performance in Ireland by fashion giant Burberry has helped annual net profits advance 3.6% to €163 million.

The increase in net profits is because of increased sales of coats and handbags, the company said.

The brand, which is promoted by British model Kate Moss, is continuing to perform well in Ireland, according to Brown Thomas buying director Stephen Sealey.
