Market swings back into the red

THE Irish exchange closed in negative territory yesterday — 45 points lower at 9,564.

Market swings back into the red

AIB was unchanged on the day at €22.40. Bank of Ireland gained 28c to €16.30. Anglo was 5c better off at €16.47. Irish Life and Permanent was the financial loser on the day dropping 50c to €19.50.

Construction giant CRH was 25c weaker at €34.40. Kingspan Group strengthened 42c to €20.93. Grafton gained 9c to €11.34 as British peer Travis Perkins announced a very strong trading update for the first four months of the year.
