Halifax introduces Visa Debit card

HALIFAX’S new current account offering, which was announced earlier this month, will also offer its users a Visa Debit card, the first of its kind in Ireland.

The card will have all of the functionality of other debit cards in the market — full point of sale, online, telephone, ATM and a cheque guarantee.The main benefit the card has over other debit cards in Ireland, however, is that it can be used internationally, with acceptance in over 24 million locations and through one of the world’s largest ATM networks.
