Experts to address Teagasc conference
Dairy goat farming is a growth area with an increasing demand for goats’ milk for cheese, yoghurt and ice cream.
There are about 200 farmers with a dairy goat enterprise in Ireland.
John Matthew, British Goat Society, Louisa Armitage, Givendale Goat Herd in Britain, and William Twisk, a Dutch goat nutritionist will be among the speakers.
Breda Maher, Cooleeney Cheese, Thurles, Owen Brodie, a commercial goat farmer from Westmeath and Gerry Scully, Rural Development Programme Manager, Teagasc, will also address delegates.
