The new appointments are Flor O’Gorman, a dairy farmer from Ballynoe club in Imokilly (Cork), who will represent Munster, and Denis Drennan, a dairy farmer from Kilkenny City club, who will be the Leinster office holder.

Both now join Thomas Quirke, a financial adviser from Abbeyknockmoy, Co Galway, whose unopposed election for the north-west position was announced last month.

The three new vice-presidents will take up their positions alongside Macra’s president-elect, Catherine Buckley, at Macra’s annual general meeting on May 12.
