Regulator comes into force

The Chartered Accountants Regulatory Board (CARB), the regulator of the 16,000 members of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland, came into existence yesterday.

The board also launched its website, www.carb.ie.

The establishment of CARB comes into effect following a decision by ICAI to commence the bye-law provisions from yesterday.

Quiznos appoints EMEA president

Dublin: Quiznos Corp has appointed Andrew Skehan as its president for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, the sandwich chain has announced.

Mr Skehan will be based in Dublin and will report to Greg Brenneman, the company’s chief executive, president and partner, Quiznos said in a release.

Mr Skehan was the executive vice president and chief operating officer of Churchill Downs and vice president and regional director for marketing and also an executive with Nabisco EMEA in Barcelona, Spain.
