Progress due on NCH redevelopment

The chairman of the National Concert Hall (NCH), David Byrne, said yesterday that he expects significant progress to be made on the redevelopment of the NCH this year.

“During 2007 detailed work will be undertaken to ensure the international publication of requests to tender for the construction of the new National Concert Hall,” he said.

The NCH launched its annual report for 2006, yesterday which showed combined attendance figures rise by more than 7,000 on 2005s total, to a record 320,390. Turnover for the year was up by 16% to €6.4 million, with a 27% increase in online ticket sales recorded.
