Londis to spend €6m on new headquarters

A €6 million investment is to be pumped into building ADM Londis’s new 20,000 sq ft headquarters in Johnstown in Naas it was announced yesterday.

The new headquarters will be built alongside the company’s existing 80,000 sq ft warehouse and distribution facility. This will also undergo a 10,000 sq ft expansion as part of the development project.

The new buildings will support the 350 independently owned group stores nationwide.

Londis joint chief executive, Stephen O’Riordan, said: “The 6m investment demonstrates the board’s confidence in the future growth of the group and will provide the infrastructure required to deliver on our future expansion plans.

“There are obvious advantages in having all of

our support services on a single site, including the accessibility of the Johnstown location for our nationwide distribution network. Today’s investment ensures that ADM Londis is well positioned for future growth with our new Johnstown office providing capacity to house up to 140 staff coupled with the increased logistical capabilities of our Warehouse & Distribution facility,” he said.

The company’s 100 head office staff will be in place in the new headquarters by the end of October 2007.
