Market claws back more ground

THE ISEQ climbed slightly yesterday mirroring trends across Europe.

The Dublin exchange added 38.61 to close at 9,361.25.

AIB added 3c to €22.40 while Bank of Ireland fell 11c to €17.15. Anglo Irish shed 13c to €16.17 while Irish Life & Permanent slipped 30c to €20.10.

CRH closed 1c dow at €30.30 with Kingspan increasing by 1c to €18.91. Grafton ended the day higher at €11.60, up 6c.

Support services company Newcourt Group released a strong set of results, beating analysts’ expectations. The share price rose 10c to €1.79.
