DAX on decline

GERMAN stocks declined after a report showed US consumer prices rose more than forecast. RWE and ThyssenKrupp paced the retreat.

Deutsche Boerse led rising shares.

The benchmark DAX index slid 41.25, or 0.6%, to 6,941.66. The index climbed to 7,005.34 earlier yesterday, the highest since November 2000.
