Beamish pulls 10% beer sale increase

BEAMISH & Crawford, the Cork-based brewer, has reported another successful year. Beer sales across its Beamish stout, Miller and Foster brands were up by 10% compared with 2005.

While a spokesman would not break down the figures he said Beamish was the only stout to boost its sales last year in the highly competitive Irish market.

It has established itself as the No 2 stout in Ireland and has increased sales while Guinness stout volumes have declined steadily over the past several years.
