Market breaks 10,000 level

The ISEQ Index broke through the 10,000 level for the first time yesterday on the back of a strong gain for CRH.

However, it slipped back later to close up 27.90 points at 9,981.08.

AIB jumped to €24.20 in early morning trading only to fall back to €23.95 remaining unchanged. Bank of Ireland shed 4c to €18.45 while Anglo Irish added 3c to €16.48.
