THE ongoing jobs slide continued yesterday when a high-tech company in Limerick said it was closing its 200-staff operation.

High production costs have forced the company, Thomson Scientific, to move its operation to India.

It is the latest company to pull out of Ireland and transfer its operation to a low cost economy.
