Two Irish firms nominated for prize

NOMINATIONS for the 2007 European Information and Communications Technology (ICT) prize include two Irish companies FotoNation and Nubiq Technology.

A total of 70 nominees were announced yesterday and €700,000 in prize money will be awarded to the winning candidates.

The prize is supported by the European Commission as part of its efforts to promote ICT industry and boost growth. Participation is open to candidates from 33 countries.
