Venture capital firms seek funding

VENTURE system investment in Irish companies remained strong in 2006 with more than €192 million invested in 52 enterprises, according to the latest Techpulse survey from corporate finance specialists Ion Equity.

However, the coming year is likely to see a reduction in investment as the major Irish venture capital funds devote more resources to raising new capital for investment, Ion Equity director, David Fewer, stated.
