Goodbody handles €9.3bn deals in ‘06

A&L Goodbody handled deals worth €9.3 billion in 2006. The company was also ranked the top law firm in Ireland for global mergers and acquisitions (M&A) activity, according to a Thomson Financial survey published yesterday.

It was the only Irish firm to rank amongst the top 70 in Europe for M&A transactions and the top 100 for global M&A deals.

The company was ranked the top Irish firm for cross-border M&A.

High value transactions which & Goodbody advised on in 2006 included Eircom’s acquisition by Babcock & Brown, Ryanair’s offer for Aer Lingus and Doughty Hanson’s TV3 acquisition.
