Bright spark wins Macra welder title

KILKENNY has won another national title with Roy Daniels, Kilmoganny, capturing the Macra na Feirme welding competition.

A member of Callan Macra club, he was presented with a welder and earned a place on prizewinners’ trip abroad. Andrew McKeown, Aughnacliffe, of Longford Town Macra, was awarded the runner-up prize, sponsored by Griffin Welding and Engineering Supply Centre in Midleton, Co Cork.

The event took place at the FAS Centre in Bishopstown.
