College honours world-class results

GRIFFITH COLLEGE students have achieved world-class results in the 2006 Association of Chartered Accountants (ACCA) examinations.

College honours world-class results

On Saturday the college honoured Stephen Gahan from Grantstown in Co Waterford and James Bradley from Cork city, who achieved first and third places in the world in paper 3.2 on Advanced Taxation.

Stephen was placed first in the paper in Ireland and James second.

Griffith College Dublin student Attracta Duggan achieved second place in the world for paper 2.5 on Financial Reporting. Gina Morrisey from Griffith College Cork was first overall in Ireland for paper 3.1, Audit and Assurance.

The ACCA has over 370,000 students in 170 countries and is one of the premier accounting qualifications globally.
