Market resumes upward momentum

THE ISEQ Index ended higher yesterday as C&C recovered from the previous day‘s dramatic losses ending the session up 20.8 at 9,337.52.

Market resumes upward momentum

AIB was unchanged at €22.25 despite US bank M&T, in which it has a 25% stake, reporting a 4% rise in profits for the fourth quarter last year. Bank of Ireland climbed 13c to €17.25, Anglo-Irish added 1c to €15.80 while Irish Life & Permanent gained 5c to €21.20.

In construction, CRH lost 3c to €30.47. Grafton Group eased 5c to €12.20, Kingspan shed 18c to €19.97 while McInerney bucked the trend climbing 14c to €15.15.
