Market finishes week strongly

THE ISEQ index ended the week in positive territory with the exchange 38.36 points better off at 9,432.84.

The financial sector was 109.11 stronger. Bank of Ireland jumped 22c to €17.47 with over 3.7 million shares changing hands. Irish Life and Permanent and Anglo gained 30c and 10c to €21.40 and €15.50. AIB was unchanged at €22.80.

Construction giant CRH closed 5c lower at €30.70. Kingspan Group was also in negative territory dropping 7c to €19.88. Grafton Group added 27c to €12.47.
