Elsevier profits rise to €19.5m

SHANNON-BASED company, Elsevier Ireland recorded a 9% increase in pre-tax profits last year to €19.5 million, according to accounts recently filed with the Companies Office.

Recently, the company celebrated 30 years in the Shannon Free Zone and according to the accounts, the company increased its pre-tax profit from €17.9m to €19.58m last year.

The accounts show the company’s turnover last year was €33.9m — a drop on the €35m turnover recorded in 2004.
