Market builds on gains

THE ISEQ Index gained a further 18.07 points ending the day in positive territory. The Dublin exchange was 9,317.48 at the closing bell.

Market builds on gains

The financial stocks were mixed but gained €120.03 points overall. AIB jumped 29c hitting the €23. Bank of Ireland was 17c better off at €17.27. Irish Life and Permanent and Anglo closed in negative territory dropping 5c and 1c to €21 and €15.42.

CRH fell 5c to €30.90 while its subsidiary Irish Cement announced a €€200m investment to modernise Platin Cement Works. Kingspan Group was 7c weaker at €19.50. Grafton Group was 20c stronger at €12.37.
