Retail Ireland denies high prices charge

RETAIL IRELAND, the IBEC-affiliated retail sector representative body, has rejected allegations that Ireland is the most expensive Christmas shopping destination in Europe.

“Pricerunner produced a more comprehensive shopping survey last September of 29 retail consumer items which concluded that Ireland was the sixth cheapest country for shopping out of 21 countries surveyed,” said Torlach Denihan, director of Retail Ireland.
