20,000-capacity stadium possible

WITH the redevelopment of Lansdowne Road still going through the final planning stages, it has emerged the Government might consider the development of another new sports stadium.

Weekend reports suggest that officials from the Departments of the Taoiseach and Sport have met with the GAA, the FAI and the IRFU to discuss the possibility of a 20,000 capacity sports stadium for the Abbotstown site.
