Energia lands £1m gas supply contract

ENERGY provider Energia secured its first gas supply contract in the North, valued at £1 million (€1.48 million), from the major provender milling firm John Thompson’s.

Thompson’s of Belfast produces 580,000 tonnes of animal feedstuff each year and employs 135 people. It is the first large energy user to leave the monopoly gas provider in Belfast, Phoenix Natural Gas.

A member of Viridian Group, Energia is an all-island firm with a 25% share of the all-island business electricity market.
