FOOD market researchers at Teagasc Ashtown Food Research Centre are undertaking a survey of Irish beef and pigmeat chains. It will examine key factors that influence commercial relationship in the supply chain.

Teagasc begins food market survey

The survey forms part of a wider EU research project, FOODCOMM, which Teagasc is undertaking in conjunction with EU research institutes in Finland, Germany, Poland, Spain and Britain.

The key objectives are to discover what those who produce, process and sell beef and pigmeat think about their commercial relationships and to assess room for improvement in the way buyers and suppliers communicate with one another.
